金澤という地名は、この金城霊澤が由来とされています。金運のパワースポットとも言われています。
The name “Kanazawa” is said to have originated from Kinjo Reitaku, a sacred spring that is also known as a spot believed to bring good fortune and wealth.
この場所がなぜ金城霊澤と言われるかというと、諸説あるようですが、一説には、芋掘藤五郎という男がこの泉で芋を洗っていたところ、砂金を見つけ大金持ちになったからともされています。泉の中からは湧き水が湧いています。
There are several theories about why this place came to be called Kinjo Reitaku. According to one legend, a man named Imohori Togoro was washing potatoes in the spring when he discovered gold dust and became wealthy. Even today, fresh water continues to spring from the ground here.
華やかな場所ではないですが、早朝の静かな金沢を味わいたい人におすすめです。
It is not a particularly spectacular tourist spot, but I recommend visiting if you would like to experience the peaceful atmosphere of Kanazawa in the early morning.
兼六園随身坂口を出てすぐの場所、金沢神社の隣にあります。
Kinjo Reitaku is located right outside the Zuishinzaka Exit of Kenrokuen Garden, next to Kanazawa Shrine.
