東寺の北にある、宮本武蔵ゆかりの寺です。This is a temple connected to Miyamoto Musashi, located north of Toji Temple.

宮本武蔵は有名な剣術家で、二刀流の開祖とされています。人の心理を読むことにも長けていたようで、佐々木小次郎との戦いでは、あえて戦いの場に遅刻して行くことで佐々木小次郎を怒らせ、小次郎の平常心を失わせることで勝利したとも言われています。
Miyamoto Musashi was a famous swordsman and is considered the founder of dual-wielding.It is said that he was also good at reading one’s psychology, and in his battle with Kojiro Sasaki, he dared to arrive late to the battle to anger Kojiro Sasaki, and it is said that he won by making Kojiro lose his composure.
