女の子の成長を祈る雛祭り。本来は３月３日ですが、旧暦３月3日（今の暦では４月上旬）に行う土地もあります。宮島では４月３日まで雛人形が展示されるそうです。
Doll’s Festival is a festival to pray for the growth of girls. It is originally held on March 3rd, but in some places it is held on March 3rd on the lunar calendar (early April on the current calendar). Hina dolls will be on display in Miyajima until April 3rd.
本来は、上の写真のような飾りですが、宮島のひな祭りは、少し変わっています。

ひな祭りは女の子の成長を祈るためのお祭りなので、女の子が成長してしまうと飾られなくなる雛人形も多いですが、そんな雛人形を自由に飾っているようです。

雛人形には、子どもの成長を祈る気持ちが込められていますが、華やかな飾りを飾るのも手間がかかるため、子どもが成長すると飾られなくなることもあります。そんな人形はきっと倉庫の中で悲しんでいるでしょう。そのような人形を再び飾る、宮島の人々の優しい気持ちとユーモアあふれる企画です。
The dolls are filled with prayers for children’s growth, but it takes a lot of time to decorate them with gorgeous decorations, so they may no longer be displayed once the children grow up.
