おそらく数千年前からここにある自然の岩に、デジタルアートの滝が流れます。
Digital art waterfalls flow on the natural rock which is here probably for thousands of years.
1000年以上前の伝説にも残る御船山が、ゆっくりと光ります。
Mt. Mifune, which remains in the legend of more than 1000 years ago, glows slowly.
1300年前に名僧行基が彫ったとされる仏像の周りに、光の書が描かれます。炭をするような音と共に、岩壁に光の書が描かれ、まるで行基が今もそこにいるかのように感じられます。
Calligraphy of light is drawn around the Buddha statue, which is said to have been carved by the famous monk Gyoki 1300 years ago. With the sound of rubbing charcoal for calligraphy, a calligraphy of light is drawn on the rock wall, and it feels as if Gyoki is still there.
お茶の中に咲く花。茶道という日本の伝統につけ加えられる、新時代の芸術。

屋内作品も美しいです。The indoor works are also beautiful.
一番感動したのは、やはりこの作品。何もない池にたくさんの光の魚が描かれ、そして死に、死んだ光の魚が魂のように池を泳ぎ回ります。この池には、これまで多くの魚が生きては死に、そしてその歴史を抱いてこの池が今もあることを、この作品が表しているように感じました。
What impressed me the most was this work. Many fish of light is drawn in an empty pond, and then die, and dead fish of light swim around the pond like souls. In this pond, many fish have lived and died so far, and I felt that this work shows that this pond still exists with its history.
そして私の存在も、このような歴史の上に成り立っている。「自分という存在は、何十億年という圧倒的な時間の長さの、永遠に繰り返されてきた生と死の連続性の上にある」というこの展覧会の趣旨が、そのまま表現されたような作品です。
And my existence is also built on this kind of history. It is a work that expresses the purpose of this exhibition that “My existence is on the continuity of life and death that has been repeated forever, the overwhelming length of time of billions of years.”
私の解釈が作品の解釈として正しいかどうかは分かりませんが、様々なことを考えさせられる作品でした。
I don’t know if my interpretation is correct as an interpretation of the work, but it was a work that made me think about various things.
